STAYING (2026)

Born from the journey through suicidal ideation and survival, this film traces the path from despair to reconstruction, honoring the moments and souls that were a beacon of light in the darkness. Through unflinching honesty and a quiet resilience, it extends a hand through the dark to anyone who fears their pain is too heavy or their hope too small.

 

GRADUATION DAY (2025)

On May 16th, 2025, the 33rd class of Scripps Research graduated into one of the most challenging economic and political climates of the last 20 years.

This film documents their experience.

Winner of the San Diego Press Club Award for Best Short Form Documentary - Light Subject - 1st Place (2025).

 

MOTHERTHIEF (2023)

What do you care about that feels out of control? Motherthief is a short film that explores the uncertainties and anxieties of caring for something you don't truly understand.

Winner of the Award of Excellence - Sci-fi / Fantasy at the Santa Barbara Indie Film Festival.

Graduates of UC Santa Cruz Film & Digital Media program in 2010, we've spent the last 10 years studying, practicing, and cultivating our love of light and depth in all moments and things. One Apparatus LLP was born from the idea that the lens and human/brain interface are one functioning apparatus through repetition and love.
